Our supporters undertake a variety of cycle challenges raising funds for Willen Hospice. Listed below are just some of them. From Lands End to John O' Groats, London to Paris, to even Cuba and Vietnam, the choices are endless.
In order to raise much needed sponsorship funds for the Hospice, three of our Trustees have just taken part in the Extra Mile Cycle Challenge. Sheila Kemble and Richard Willis formed part of the Willen Wheelers team and Sue Baron cycled with the Manic Street Pedlars.
As two of the 46 teams they cycled in relay style from Lens to Fontainebleau, through the Loire Valley to Bourges and onto Vichy in the Massif Central finishing at the foot of the Puy de Dome the highest of a chain of volcanic peaks."

Erika Buchwalder undertook this challenge in 2007 raising £1500 for the Hospice.

“The experience was excellent, I met the most lovely bunch of people you will ever meet. There were lots of highs and lows. The Highest point was arriving at the Eiffel Tower with all 130 of us arriving at the same time the champagne was waiting for us and every one was hugging each other it was excellent. My body really struggled on the last day my legs got the shakes and I felt drained but I also felt extremely proud after I passed the finish line to the Eiffel Tower! I did it!”
Take the shorter route or the longer route for the ultimate challenge. Route crosses through the famous vineyards of Champagne and Burgundy to a fabulous climb in the Jura Mountains, ending beside the lake in Geneva.
