Leaving on 14th August 2010 and the route takes in the Lares Tail (slightly less travelled than the Inca Trail).This is a challenging trek on steep trails climbing to the high Wakawasi mountain pass of 4400m (about 14,400 ft) with breathtaking views of snow capped Andean peaks.

Starting at Lanercost Priory trek alongside the remaining sections of the wall, admiring the beautiful scenery through the Northumberland National Park and marvelling at the skill of the Roman engineers. In November 2008 Matt Cundrick, William Codd and Alistair Brace pushed themselves to the extreme in their trek to Everest base camp and jointly raised over £6,500 for the Hospice.

This outstanding trek to the base camp of the world's highest mountain takes you through the lush valleys of Sagarmatha National Park, with time to explore its villages and monasteries. Eight of the world's fourteen peaks that exceed 8,000m in height are situated in the Nepalese Himalayas. The highest of them all, standing at 8,848m, is Mt. Everest.
