There are many different ways that individuals and community groups can and do support the Hospice:
These include:
Doug Yates organized an event in his back garden. The event was actually to celebrate his 50th birthday. There was a supporting band, a bbq and a sports and rock auction - some items receiving bids in excess of £300! To top off the evening Quoincidence (a Status Quo tribute band) took to the stage for 2 hours!
Jamie Stimpson recently organised a football tournament to raise funds for Willen Hospice. To date, he has collected more than £2000. Jamie recently spoke to Lincoln at askMKTV about the tournament and his reasons for supporting Willen Hospice in this way. Just follow this link to hear what he had to say.
There is still time to donate to Jamie's fund by visiting his justgiving page at:

Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands Golf Club organise a golf day for us on an annual basis. The most recent raised £11,000. This was mostly through the auction and raffle.
The Crinklies are a patchwork group who meet once a week and make various items which they sell at Christmas Bazaars to raise funds for the Hospice.
In 2006 they raised over £1,600.

Stephanie and Kieran Maclean decided that it was time to clean up the language at home. They came up with the idea of a 'swear box' with all the money raised being donated to the Hospice.
They designed and made the box themselves and raised £26.40.
Through the generosity of people visiting the display of Christmas lights during December, the residents of Summerhayes, Great Linford have donated an amazing £3240 (including £500 from The Royal Bank of Scotland Community Cashback Scheme).
Over the last 4 years the residents have raised over £13000 for the Hospice from this seasonal event.
This list and examples are by no means exhaustive and we are always staggered by the many interesting and innovative ways that the communities we serve find to support us. If you need some further inspiration try our A-Z of Fundraising
