Companies are now recognising the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility even on a small scale. There are many ways for companies, whatever their size, to support Willen Hospice. Whether you can sponsor just one event for us, adopt us as your charity for the year, encourage your employees to take part in our weekly lottery, or give regularly through a payroll giving scheme, your support is very important to us.
The Hospice helps many people each year – relatives, friends, colleagues and there is no better way to demonstrate your support for our work then by getting involved in fundraising for us.
The fundraising team is also always keen to hear of new ways that the Hospice and businesses can work together for mutual benefit.

Get your employees involved in fundraising. It’s fun, it helps to build staff morale, encourages teamwork and shows that you care. Dragon Boat Racing, Dress Down Days, Concerts, Sponsored Events are just some ways of raising money. Our A-Z may give you some ideas or perhaps you have a few of your own? Can your company match funds raised by your staff as an added incentive?

Chalky Whites' Auto Centre launched a "one pound per customer" fundraising scheme to help raise £10,000 for the hospice.
We always need raffle prizes for our events, or perhaps your company is able to offer stationery, printing services (e.g. for our flyers), consultancy and training, or other goods and items that will, ultimately, save us money.
This donated A-Class car from Mercedes-Benz of Milton Keynes provides vital transport of goods and samples between our warehouse at Kiln Farm, the Hospice and Milton Keynes hospital.

Due to some near misses by staff leaving the Aldridge Centre and Barn it was identified by the Hospice’s Health and Safety Committee that some kind of barrier could help the situation. When locally based company, Tensator, was contacted to help, they offered to install their Tensabarriers at no cost to the Hospice. Tensator is based in Linford Wood in Milton Keynes but is renowned internationally for their barrier systems that are used in airports and at large events. All at the Hospice, especially the staff in the buildings affected, are very grateful to Tensator for this gift in kind.
We are always looking for sponsors for our main events e.g. Alternative Ascot, Summer & Winter Fayres, Walk for Willen, Y Factor Talent Show, Golf Days and Balls. Having a sponsor for these events means that costs can be covered and all monies raised can go directly to patient care. As a main event sponsor your logo would appear on all marketing material and be displayed on the day of the event.

Payroll giving or Give As You Earn is an easy and tax efficient way for employees to give regularly to charity. If your company already has a payroll giving scheme with low take up, we are happy to come in and give a talk to staff to encourage them to use it, or we can talk to your HR department about setting one up.
For just £1 per week employees could help the Hospice and be in with a chance of winning £1000. Payments could be taken through the payroll system, or small groups/departments could set up
lottery syndicates, or you could sell our weekly tickets, or you could sponsor the printing of our weekly tickets. Approx 1000 tickets are sold each week and sponsor's name would appear on the back of each ticket.

Every Christmas we sell a range of personalised Christmas cards especially for companies to send to their clients – please keep an eye on our website for details. If you decide as a company not to send Christmas cards please consider us as your charity to donate to instead.
Encourage your employees to take part in sponsored challenges as part of team building. From parachute jumps to cycle tours and treks, the choice is endless.
See our 2008/9 challenges here. Perhaps you would like to organise a team building exercise of your own and raise money for us?

Your time is always valuable to us, be it a few hours once a month or once a year. Barclays recently sent a team of staff to the Hospice for a day to re-landscape some of the garden areas and make them more attractive for patients and families to use.
