Every year a Christmas tree is erected in the grounds of Willen Hospice, overlooking the lake and adorned with hundreds of lights. There is an opportunity to dedicate a light on the Christmas tree to a loved one, colleague or friend by making a small donation.
There is also an opportunity for children and young people to decorate stars in memory of someone special and these are displayed on two smaller trees adjacent to the main Lights of Love tree. If you would like to collect a star for decoration, these are available on Hospice Reception.

A special service of remembrance is held with carols and readings, ending with the official switching on of the Christmas tree lights - "the Lights of Love". This year's service is on Sunday 30th November 2008 at 4.30pm. Following the service, mulled wine and mince pies are served.
The tree is lit for the whole of the Christmas and New Year period. All names are entered into a special Book of Honour and displayed in the Marquee on the night and in the Hospice reception area for the whole of the Christmas and New Year period.
