What? & Why?
The Wall Gallery is to sell a painting by Wakefield based artist Helen Thomas by silent auction to raise funds for Wakefield Hospice and Willen Hospice, Milton Keynes.
Helen lived in Milton Keynes for a few months in 1996 but now lives in Wakefield. A member of her family was recently cared for in Willen Hospice and, as June is Hospice Awareness month, she felt it would be appropriate to support both hospices in this way.
Wakefield Hospice and Willen Hospice will each receive 50% of all funds raised from the auction.
The painting is 120cm x 150cm in acrylic on canvas and is called ‘Transference’
Earlier this year Helen had a solo exhibition at Milton Keynes Contemporary – WHITEWALL

Where and When?
The painting will be on show at The Wall Gallery, 174 Kirkgate, Wakefield, WF1 1UD from Tuesday 17th June to Saturday 5th July. The painting can also be viewed online at Helen’s website: http://www,toastedorange.co.uk

Completed forms need to be returned by 5pm, Saturday 5th July. Forms will be opened on Monday 7th July.
There is a reserve price of £495. The painting has a retail value of £850.
