Members of the local business community recently met with trustees and staff for the annual Willen Hospice Business Reception. This year's event was sponsored by and took place at the De Vere Harben Hotel in Newport Pagnell.
The evening began with a short video (opens in a new window) about the Hospice (produced for the Hospice by John Hemson). Paul Hinson, Chief Executive Willen Hospice, gave a brief talk, thanking those present, emphasising the importance of their continued support and highlighting the important work of the hospice and the challenges facing all organisations in the current economic climate. Finally, Richard Willis and Sheila Kemble (Hospice Trustees) gave an amusing account of their experience in taking up the Extra Mile Challenge, mentioning the postive benefits for team building that can be derived, as well as the opportunity of raising money for charity.
