A special reception was recently held to acknowledge the fantastic contribution made by 4 teams of cyclists who took part in The Heald Solicitors 2008 Extramile Massif Challenge and chose Willen Hospice as their charity.

The teams were:
- Willen Wheelers 2
- Team Skoda
- Manic Street Pedlars
- Last of the Summer Winos
and they raised a ‘massif’ combined £6,650 for the Hospice.
Richard Willis, Willen Wheelers 2, said of the Extramile experience:
“The key to success is a good team spirit, moderation in the local red wine on the night before, maximum effort on the cycling but also the timing of the overlap points on the relay. There is a huge sense of achievement and it is great for team building but, most of all, it raises much needed funds for the Hospice."
This year’s event is called the Heald Solicitors Extra Mile Loire Challenge 2009 and takes place on
