Willen Hospice patients and staff were delighted to receive a visit from a very tall Santa on December 18th.

Day Hospice Staff "keep in" with Santa!
Mike New from the Marshall MK Lions took to the role superbly after being voted to dress as Santa and visit the Hospice by fans - the SMS vote raised £100 for the Hospice. Mike was accompanied by his ‘little’ helpers; Tommie Eddie, Jayson Obazuaye and Simon Emmerson. They spent over an hour having photographs taken with patients, families and staff and handed out gifts to Day Hospice patients at their annual Christmas party.

Fiona Wordley, Acting In-Patient Unit Nurse Manager, commented:
“The visit has given a real boost to our patients and staff, we are extremely grateful to Mike and the Lions for coming along today”.
Santa also made a special visit to a grandson of one of the in-patients, Alfie. Alfie’s Grandmother said: “It was fantastic, he was over the moon, it was a really special thing.”
