Charlie Ross, Local Auctioneer and Television Celebrity and Alexander Boswell, former High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, have recently become Patrons. Both have supported the Hospice in various ways in the past and their appointments as Patrons will formalise this relationship.
Charlie Ross has supported the Hospice in numerous ways, running auctions at events, doing voice-overs for educational material and officially opening our furniture store. He commented:
“I was delighted and honoured when asked to become a Patron of the Hospice. The Charity has long been the subject of my admiration and I am only too happy to be of any help I can to the board and staff as they carry out their splendid work. I think it is time for another fundraising auction!”
Alexander Boswell chose the Hospice as one of the charities he supported during his time as High Sheriff and presented the Friends of Willen Hospice with an award in recognition of their hard work and commitment. He commented:
“Willen Hospice has long been one of my favourite local charities; the Hospice does wonderful work and the Willen effect extends far beyond the sick, the geriatric and the bereaved. The Willen ethos is an embodiment of goodwill and love which radiates out into the local community and draws us all together in a common cause.”
