Pancakes no obstacle
On Shrove Tuesday Willen Hospice organised a pancake race with a difference at Middleton Hall in thecentre:mk. The race involved relay teams completing an assault course, provided by the Milton Keynes Play Association. There were teams from many of the stores in thecentre:mk as well as Horizon Radio, MK Lions, Bored MK and thecentre:mk - who were the winning team.
Mr Bean was on hand to provide ‘helpful’ suggestions on how to tackle the course and Horizon radio provided the commentary. There were also pancakes on sale and various other stalls.

Julia Rogerson, Events and Promotions Manager for Willen Hospice, commented:
“The race was a fantastic and hilarious event that raised £500 for the Hospice. The Hospice, contrary to popular belief, is full of laughter and fun, so organising an event like this reflects that feeling out in the community.”
