Local ropes course Aerial Extreme is rewarding Milton Keynes’ local heroes in a monthly fundraising initiative called,
Superhero Sundays.
For the next twelve months, customers can book a go on the Willen Lake course for half price on the last Sunday of each month at 10am. All that money will then be donated to a local charity, which this year will be Willen Hospice.
From Sunday 31st May, anyone can receive half price entry – which equals £11 per adult and just £8.50 per child - to the outdoor adventure venue by pre-booking one of the 27 monthly slots available.
Site Manager, Ria Bugg said:
“There are many great charities in the local area that work tirelessly to make less fortunate people’s lives better without thinking of themselves. We want to recognise these ‘superheros’ and support them in any way we can.”
Staff and supporters of Willen Hospice will be invited to their course absolutely free for a ‘team-building’ event on a date of their choice – and will be invited to dress as their own favourite super hero.
Aerial Extreme will present a cheque to Willen Hospice at the end of the year, and is hoping to raise in excess of £800.
Paul Hinson, Chief Executive of Willen Hospice said:
“We are delighted that Aerial Extreme has chosen to support Willen Hospice with this fundraising initiative. Last year was a tough one for us financially and we are keen that this situation is not to be repeated this financial year, as we do not want to compromise the quality of care that we are known and loved for. This kind of support from our local community is key to our future and we are very grateful for it.”
Aerial Extreme, based next to Willen Lake, is an outdoor adventure ropes course suitable for anyone above 1.1m in height. Comprising separate Junior and Adult Adventurer courses, the site allows visitors to swing from ropes, balance on wobbly beams and zoom along zip lines at heights of up to 14m.
