£50,000 raised in six months!
We are delighted to announce that we have reached the £50,000 target needed to complete funding for the Day Hospice extension. The new build will offer a much needed increase in space for patients, a room to meet patients and carers in privacy, a complementary therapy room and a treatment room with hairdressing facilities.
Building work began on the extension on 1st October and is being undertaken by ROK. The project is going well and still on target to be finished by April 2008.
Christopher Eyes, Hospice Chief Executive commented:
“I am overwhelmed by the response of the general public and our supporters to this appeal. To raise £50,000 for the project in six months is a great achievement. We are extremely grateful to all those who have made a donation as this extension will make a huge difference to the facilities we offer our Day Hospice patients.”
