Stuart Mason, a personal trainer, working for David Lloyd in Milton Keynes recently took part in the Toughguy, multi terrain obstacle course. This is a 16 mile test of physical and mental endurance designed to take participants beyond their limits. After months of training at David Lloyd, Willen Lake and on the redways of Milton Keynes he completed the course in just over 3 hours and has cuts and bruises to prove it. Stuart has raised in excess of £384.37 plus reclaimable tax on donations of £106.61 making a total of £490.98 for Willen Hospice.

Saturday 26th July saw Doug Yates organizing an event in his back garden. The event was actually to celebrate his 50th birthday. There was a supporting band, a bbq and a sports and rock auction - some items receiving bids in excess of £300! To top off the evening Quoincidence (a Status Quo tribute band) took to the stage for 2 hours! Doug, having seen Status Quo more than 100 times actually auditioned tribute bands before decided on Quoincidence. Everyone had a great time and celebrated Doug’s birthday in style, the event concluding with a fantastic firework display. In all, an amazing £3500 was raised for Willen Hospice.
Our thanks to both Stuart and Doug for their amazing support.
