2008 Extra Mile Challenge

The Willen Wheelers will be undertaking the Extra Mile Challenge again this year in support of the Hospice.

They are:   Richard Willis  and Sheila Kemble (both Hospice Trustees), Alan Williams and Robin Cousins.

This year's Challenge will take them from the north of France past Paris and Fontainebleau into the Loire Valley and Bourges and on to the Massif Central to finish at the foot of Puy de Dôme near Vichy. The 500 mile journey involves riding in relay over the weekend of 26 - 28 September 2008.

Last year the Willen Wheelers team raised over £9,000 and a significant proportion of this came to the Hospice. This year they are again being supported by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles who are providing a long, wheel based Transporter Shuttle as a support vehicle.
