Chris Moody, 23, from Furzton and Andrew Weston, 30, from Wavendon are set to undertake this year’s Home2Rome charity rally event in a twenty three year old Saab 99 GL all in aid of Willen Hospice.
Home2Rome is an annual charity rally event that takes in most of the Grand Tour. The Grand Tour was started in the 17th Century and involved young English Gentlemen travelling to Paris, Milan, Venice, Florence and Rome over 3-4 years, taking in and celebrating the culture as they went. Chris and Andrew will be setting off from Calais on Friday 20th October and looking to do this 1,500 miles in three to four days, all being well, as the catch is that the vehicle they are travelling in must cost less than £100 and be on an N plate or older, hence the old Saab.
