Willen Hospice has been the lucky recipient of stock from the closure of a shop in Newport Pagnell. Pandora’s Attic which sold nearly new children’s clothes, toys, cots and accessories, closed on 23 December to enable the owner, Jaquie Hull and her husband Mick, to move towards semi-retirement. The donated stock will be sold on in Willen Hospice Charity Shops to raise funds for patient care.
Mick, commented
We have lots of contact with Willen Hospice through Roman Way lodge no. 9533 in Stony Stratford – where, as Masons, we do a lot of charitable work to raise funds for them. Therefore, it was only natural to Jacquie and I that we would choose to donate our stock for Willen to sell on in their charity shops. We both have so much admiration for the Hospice, and the people who serve it so lovingly.“
Demand for goods at Pandora’s Attic in the final days of trading was so strong that the amount of stock remaining on the 23rd December was less than anticipated and so, Jacquie and Mick also donated a cash sum to Willen Hospice from the takings.
