Jeffree supports Willen

Willen Hospice  has teamed up with “Jeffree”, a Young Enterprise winning team from Hazeley School in Milton Keynes, for its 30th anniversary campaign.  Jeffree have designed a bespoke T-shirt for the Hospice which is now on sale to raise funds.

“Jeffree”, formed by a group of 13 students as part of the Young Enterprise Company Programme recently beat 16 teams from school in Milton Keynes to go through to the county rounds of Young Enterprise 2011. Part of the company’s project was working with Willen Hospice to design the 30th anniversary celebration T-shirt . The T-shirt project was designed to engage young people in the work the Hospice performs and by creating a bespoke piece of art, Jeffree have encapsulated the essence of Willen Hospice in a new and unique form.

Jeffree, the name of the character that appears on all of the team’s designs, already boasts ‘his’ own following. The team had already raised significant capital by marketing their own designs on a variety of printed products, such as Christmas cards, framed pictures, posters, bags and key rings, as well as producing customised designs for items such as postcards and invitations.  Just take a look at  their great website here (opens new window)

Jeffree T-Shirt design

The new design, created especially for Willen Hospice, will be available on T-shirts at all
Willen Hospice shops including the online eShop and will retail for £10.   The T-shirt should have broad appeal for anyone living in Milton Keynes and beyond.  The hospice logos are woven in to the design along with X-scape , Peace Pagoda, Concrete Cows and, of course, Jeffree himself.

David Vann, the Jeffree team artist said, “The team are very proud to work with Willen Hospice and are grateful for the opportunity we have been given to promote our product. We hope that people in the community will like our T-shirt and purchase it to raise money for Willen Hospice and also help our company succeed.”

Young Enterprise is building a connected world of young people, business volunteers and educators, inspiring each other to succeed through enterprise. Each year, business volunteers inspire over 250,000 young people aged 4 to 25 years. Young Enterprise empower the next generation with the confidence, ability and ambition to succeed in a rapidly changing global economy. With the support of more than 3,500 businesses and over 5,000 schools, colleges, universities and local communities, they are the UK’s leading enterprise education charity.

Paul Hinson from Willen Hospice said, “Young Enterprise is a fantastic education charity that we really admire. The students who participate in Young Enterprise will have a better understanding of entrepreneurship and business and their great work should be recognised. This is why we felt it important to choose them to design our 30th anniversary T-shirt.  These skilful designs should not be taken for granted.

“I am personally delighted that their hard efforts have been recognised by winning the Milton Keynes Young Enterprise competition and I wish them all the very best in the next round and in  their future careers.”
