MK Moo Total Announced

Florence Moo, the walk’s mascot, has been eagerly collecting sponsorship money from the 2,000 strong herd since the walk took place and the final total has only just been announced. This remarkable sum, nearly a quarter of a million, is enough to fund nine nurses for a year. It will make a significant contribution to the circa 4 million that Willen Hospice needs to raise this year.

Pauline Mitchelmore, Event Organiser at Willen Hospice said:
“All we can say is a heartfelt thank you to the fantastic herd members, all those who sponsored them and to all the dedicated volunteers and sponsors who supported this event. On behalf of our patients and their families, we thank you once again for your continuing support.

Paul Hinson, Chief Executive at Willen Hospice is delighted with the news: “I am overwhelmed by the commitment and support people have given. The MK Midnight Moo is only in its second year but has already become a huge event in the Milton Keynes calendar and attracts people from all over the country. Thank you again to everyone who has given their time and efforts to help the Hospice.”

The MK Midnight Moo is a 10 mile walk for women/cow-girls only and takes place from midnight, all in support of Willen Hospice. Next year’s MK Midnight Moo will take place on Saturday 16th July and will be an even bigger event, in celebration of the Hospice’s 30th Anniversary.
