MK Midnight Moo is Back
The MK Midnight Moo is back for 2011 and Willen Hospice is calling on all ladies of Milton Keynes to get mo0oving.
Last year 2000 ladies took part in the 10 mile midnight walk around Milton Keynes and helped to raise £225,000, enough to cover the cost of 9 nurses for a further year. This year - the Hospice's 30th - the Hospice is challenging them to do even butter!
Pauline Mitchelmore, MK Midnight Moo Events Organiser said:
“Willen Hospice provides specialist care for over 400 adults each year. By registering to become a herd member on the 16th July, you will be supporting the service we provide and be cowpleating one of our most fun and exciting events of the year. Many of our herd enjoyed the event so much in 2010 that they signed up for 2011, just days after!”
The MK Midnight Moo is a great way to get fit. It inspired one herd member to buy their first pair of trainers in 26 years! Registered herd members are being urged to moove their hooves and start training now. Fitness experts from MK Midnight Moo partner David Lloyd Leisure are advising participants to think now about their fitness plan. Walking ten miles should not be underestimated! It is a considerable distance for those who are not accustomed to it. Training is essential "
