Torch Relay 2012
As the Olympic torch relay entered the Buckinghamshire area, many Willen Hospice supporters lined the streets of Aylesbury to cheer on Hospice trustee, Sheila Kemble. At approximately 11.17 the torch was handed to Sheila and she began another epic run.
Sheila was selected as a Torchbearer for the 2012 Olympics in recognition of her fundraising efforts for Willen.
She has personally raised over £250,000 for Willen Hospice - an outstanding sum of money. Amongst her many fundraising activities, she has taken part in a parachute jump, the Extramile Challenge (2x) and marathons including London (3x), New York and the extreme Everest Challenge. She has also organised golf days, dinner dances and fashion shows.
Willen Hospice is rightly, very proud of its Trustee and not least of all, on this day.
