What's in our eBay Book Store...?
Most people will have heard of the eBay online auction service. Since April 2004 the Hospice has been selling some of its more collectable donated goods "on-line" with eBay. Willen Hospice Bookshop has also sold antiquarian and collectable books.
Linda Warren, who manages our eBay store launched our "Going for Gold Project" some time ago and has had great success with this. A recent auction of 9ct scrap gold raised £590 for hospice funds. The response has been fantastic and pictured left are some of the things that have been auctioned. Please keep the items coming in! If you have any broken gold jewellery lying around at home Linda would love to hear from you. Willen Hospice could benefit.
eBay for Charity
Willen Hospice has recently registered with eBay for Charity. This means that:
- if you are selling items yourselves on eBay you can now nominate Willen Hospice to receive a percentage of your sales.
- when we sell items on eBay they will donate back some of their fees to us (100% final value fees)
