Our vision is to be the lasting and thriving provider of free care to all people affected by life limiting illness in our community. This will be made possible by a community working together continually to share in the delivery of the most assuring, equally accessible and advanced care available.

Why leave a Will?

70% of people in the UK die without making a Will. As we don’t know what the future holds, writing your Will and keeping it up to date will give you peace of mind. Your loved ones will be protected, your wishes will be respected and it should also ensure that the taxman isn’t a major beneficiary.

Those who choose to tell us about their proposed gift in advance also enable us to plan future work more accurately and carry out our everyday work with extra confidence, safe in the knowledge that we will have funds.

The difference you will make

Leaving a gift to Willen Hospice in your Will enables us to provide expert care, tackling the practical, physical and emotional issues raised by an advanced illness. The care we provide is unique and not confined to the Hospice building but is spread throughout our local community.

We provide: in-patient care, day care, home care, support for families and carers and a Lymphoedema Clinic.

Can I add Willen Hospice to my existing Will?

It is important that you keep your Will up to date. If you wish to add Willen Hospice to your existing Will, your solicitor will simply prepare a supplement called a codicil. This will need the signatures of two independent witnesses.

Ensuring we are always there to care

We have to raise the funds every year to finance our free care. We are only here because of the generosity of people like you in our local community.

A gift to Willen Hospice costs you nothing now – but for future generations of local people it could be priceless.
