Campaign 30

Take our Campaign 30 survey here

Our community is one of the fastest growing in the UK. By 2016 the over 60s population is expected to rise by 50%. This will place increased demands on our services.

We need to be prepared. So, as a response to the community’s growing needs and to celebrate our 30th Anniversary in 2011, we have launched a special Campaign to raise £2 million over the next 3 years for a range of day to day projects and programmes. We must ensure that the breadth and the quality of our work can continue.

The Campaign focuses on 4 key areas:

  • Individual donors: We are looking for individuals in our community who can help us at this challenging and exciting time for the Hospice.
  • Trusts and Foundations: We intend to raise the annual trust income of the Hospice, by forming relationships with, and securing funding from additional trusts.
  • Legacy: We intend to raise the baseline legacy income of the Hospice through a campaign called Wills for Willen. We have already held a successful ‘Free Will Week’ and are planning a further two in 2011.
  • Corporate: We are looking for new companies in the community to add to the existing strong level of support within Milton Keynes. Donors of £3,000 or over in 2011 will be eligible to join our 30th Anniversary Sponsor Club.

What we intend to achieve:

  • To secure the finances of the Hospice in order to meet the needs of our fast-growing community
  • To extend the range of our existing services by offering new facilities and activities
  • To increase efficiency and flexibility in the delivery of our care services
Projects that we hope to accomplish as a result of the Campaign include building a Family Bereavement Room, redesigning our Reception area and Meeting Room, extending our Quiet Room, increasing the size and availability of our Community Nursing team and introducing a redeveloped bathing facility, finance database and other clinical equipment.

How you can help us raise £2million:

  • Commit yourself to giving or raising funds for the Hospice.
  • Make a personal, 3 year, tax-effective pledge to the Campaign.
  • Introduce us to potential funders.
  • Make Willen Hospice your Charity of the Year
  • Get your pub, club or community group to support us through a special event.
  • Make a gift in your Will.
