Transylvania Trek hikes up funds

Joanne Douglas and Olive Forster took on the challenge of trekking throughTransylvania to raise money to support the work of Willen Hospice.Together they took on this special challenge and raised over £5400 to help us care for our patients, their families and friends.

The trek took place in Romania’s famed Transylvanian Alps - a small and lightly-populated region of the country, rich in tradition and myth - trekking in two of the highest mountain ranges of Romania and ascending to over 2400 metres.

A highlight of the trip was a visit to the 14th century Romanian icon, Dracula’s Castle!

If you've been inspired by their efforts and fancy trekking the Himalayas, completing the Andean trails to Machu Picchu or scaling the heights of Kilimanjaro then why not check out the full range of treks that can be arranged in aid of our work through Discover Adventure?  http://www.discoveradventure.com/challenges.aspx
