On Thursday 19th June over 120 ladies and a few brave gents donned their posh hats and outfits for the annual Alternative Ascot fundraising event.

This event is staged each year on Ladies' Day (Ascot) and, with the help of a couple of large screens, a tote, excellent cuisine and company, guests are able to enjoy the excitement of the racing from the comfort of their dining chair.

A large number of the people who attend this event have used the services of the Hospice for a member of their family or a friend and feel it is a great way to support.

This was the sixth and most successful year of the event and raised £7,543.16 for the Hospice. It was an excellent day and next year’s event is already being planned, so watch this space for details.
