Get on your bike for Willen Hospice
Here is a cycling challenge that is perfect for all abilities. Join Willen Hospice for Ride for Willen on Sunday 2 September.
The cycling sportive offers you a choice of three routes of 27, 40 and 65 miles, around the picturesque villages surrounding Milton Keynes. Each route starts from Cranfield University at 8.30am, 9.30am and 10am depending on the route.
Ride for Willen offers something for everyone, whether you are a novice rider or experienced cyclist. We’ve planned some fantastic routes, marshalled by MK Grand Union Rotary Club, to include varied landscapes that will not only challenge you as a cyclist but also offer you attractive views along the way.
Ride for Willen is open to you as an individual cyclist or to groups, if you wish to ride together. You will receive an electronic chipped bib, which will let you know your time straight after the event. You will have mechanical support provided along the way by Corley Cycles and at the finish line you and your supporters can enjoy a delicious family BBQ.
Full GPX routes are available at www.willen-hospice.org.uk/rideforwillen
Registration is £29 for adults, £19 if you have already registered in the 2018 Extra Mile Challenge, and £14 for children (aged 14-18 years old, who must be accompanied by an adult).
Willen Hospice is encouraging additional sponsorship too. It would be great if you could raise additional sponsorship to help us raise the £4.7 million we need each year - that’s £9 a minute - from the local community, to ensure we can continue to deliver specialist care to patients in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
