On the 15th and 16th July 2017 Matt and Donall took part in the “Race to the Stones” to raise funds for Willen Hospice.

The challenge included a 100km walk along Britain’s oldest footpath “The Ridgeway” starting in the Oxfordshire Chilterns, a walk along the North Wessex Downs and ending at the historic Avebury Stone Circle. Not satisfied with walking, the two eager fundraisers ran the distance to the stones!

Before the epic challenge commenced, Matt said, “This is going to be really, really tough especially for two blokes who are more associated with eating pies and drinking Guinness rather than taking part in Ultra Marathon Endurance Events!

Part of our usual training route went past Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes....And so we thought it would be great to try and raise some money for a local charity that does such great work for people in extremely difficult circumstances."

Together they raised £800 to support our care and both finished the challenge with times under 24 hours.
