Specsavers MK focus on Willen Hospice sponsorship
The Milton Keynes branch of Specsavers is set to support our biggest fundraising event of the year, the MK Midnight Moo.
Our popular ten mile walk event, the MK Midnight Moo, returns on Saturday 15th July with the aim of raising funds to support the care provided by Willen Hospice and sees many supporting businesses get involved in a number of ways. For the first time ever Specsavers are taking part and sponsoring this year’s race gantry as well as providing support on the night.
Steve Moore, Director at Specsavers Milton Keynes, said “We are all really excited to join forces with Willen Hospice and sponsor the race gantry for the Midnight Moo! The work which is done at the hospice is truly outstanding and so for us it was an easy decision to make this partnership. We chose to get involved with Willen because it is a subject that we can all easily engage with. Not only that, as we are a locally owned business we also wanted to join forces with a local charity, helping people within the community in which we live and work. Over the years we have engaged in a more low key way, however the opportunity to collaborate on such a fun and engaging event was too good to miss!”
Willen Hospice needs to raise £3.6million every year to continue to provide their specialist end of life care. Events such as our MK Midnight Moo contribute greatly and support from companies like Specsavers help with the running and continuity of our events.
Sarah Sweet-Rowley, Event Manager at Willen Hospice, said “Having the support of local companies helps make a real difference to how much our events can raise to support patient care. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the businesses lending their support to hopefully make the MK Midnight Moo 2007 a big fundraising success for Willen Hospice.”
