£30,847 – £40,100 per annum plus a 5% Shift Allowance
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for two Associate Clinical Nurse Specialists to rotate between our In-Patient Unit (IPU) and Willen at Home (WAH) community team.
Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease. You will be caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for people’s wishes. We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy.
As part of a specialist multi-professional team, the Associate CNS will be autonomous in the assessment, planning, delivery, evaluation and management of patients with complex specialist palliative care needs.
Working collaboratively across the In-patient unit (IPU) and Willen at Home (WAH) team, the successful candidate will provide support in the local community, setting, coordinating and prioritising appropriate admission into IPU, demonstrating best practice and educational support.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience with at least 2 years working in cancer/palliative care and demonstrates an interest in service and professional development along with the passion to deliver quality care; a nurse prescriber would be desirable.
As the role is part community based you should be confident working alone and must hold a driving licence and have access to a car.
