Driver & Warehouse Operative

35 Hours Per Week – Worked Flexibly Including Occasional Evenings and Weekends

£18,200 per annum (£10 per hour)

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work as part of the Retail and Distribution Team, responsible for the collection and delivery duties of furniture and sellable items to raise vital income for Willen Hospice and support the delivery of an efficient warehouse Operation.

Polite and professional in your manner, you will always act as an Ambassador for the Hospice, working with a colleague following a pre-planned route and travelling to households of members of the public, as well as shops in our retail portfolio. You will hold a valid driving licence and have previous experience of driving a van. You will need to be physically fit due to the high volume of manual handling involved, with the ability to safely move and handle furniture, some of which will be heavy, as you frequently load and unload the van. Previous manual handling experience is desirable.

In return for your skills, you can expect generous annual leave entitlement starting at 35 days pro rata (inclusive of statutory and bank holidays), free onsite parking, continued membership of the NHS pension scheme and enhanced maternity, adoption and sick pay provision.

Due to restrictions within our insurance policy we are only able to accept applications from applicants who are aged 25 years and over and have held a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years.

To apply, please email a copy of your CV and covering letter explaining why you would like to apply for the role to: HRadmin@willen-hospice.org.uk
