HR Assistant

Part time – 20 hours per week

Salary £24,000-£26,000 pro rata per annum, £13,714-£14,857 actual annual

We’re seeking an HR Assistant to support the HR Business Partner in providing a seamless ‘People’ service to our Business Development teams. Based in Milton Keynes, this is an exciting time to join us, as we grow our retail portfolio and support our fundraisers to secure vital funds for The Hospice.

Working as a member of the busy People Services team, the HR Assistant will co-ordinate recruitment, support new starters and act as a point of contact for HR & volunteer queries. Confident to make off-site visits, you will build relationships with colleagues, providing first line advice and supporting team projects and initiatives.

A well organised administrator, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail, you will have two years’ experience in a similar HR role and ideally previous experience of using a HR database.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR Assistant or Administrator, who prides themselves on providing excellent customer service to join our team.

This is an onsite role, with some travel within Milton Keynes and the surrounding area for shop visits. We are looking for the hours to be worked over 3-4 days Mon-Thurs.

In return for your skills you can expect:

  • To join a supportive and caring team
  • Generous annual leave entitlement starting at 35 days pro rata (inclusive of statutory and bank holidays)
  • Free onsite parking at the Hospice
  • Employer enhanced auto-enrolment pension
  • Enhanced maternity, adoption and sick pay provision
  • Ongoing commitment to education and professional development
  • Blue Light Card discounts (with membership)
  • Excellent on-site subsidised catering facilities
  • Access to Employee Assistance Programme
