Practice Development Nurse

30 hours per week

Circa £31,000 pro rata, per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our Practice Development Team.

This unique role will enable an RN who is keen to develop education delivery, to bring together practical experience and link theory to practice. The successful applicant will work closely with our clinical teams to support the development of clinical practice through education. A key element of the role will include working within our clinical environments to provide face to face nursing care to patients and their families, as well as assessing clinical staff to maintain the quality standard of care.

This is a fantastic development opportunity for an RN looking to enhance their career in education, quality initiatives and clinical projects whilst maintaining their clinical skills. The successful candidate will have effective organisational and communication skills, and the ability to interact with individuals from a wide variety of professional backgrounds.

You will be passionate about palliative/end of life care, audit and evidenced based practice; have some knowledge of specialist palliative care practice and theory, and will participate in the delivery of education and training activities to a wider audience.

In return for your skills, you can expect to join a caring team working beside a beautiful lakeside location, generous annual leave entitlement starting at 35 days pro rata (previous NHS service recognised), free onsite parking, contributory pension scheme (with the option to continue in the NHS pension scheme), enhanced maternity, adoption and sick pay provision and excellent catering facilities at the Hospice.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check
