Shop Team Leader, City Centre, Milton Keynes

6 month contract 

Full or Part time hours available, including weekends 

£11.25 per hour 

We are looking for highly motivated Team Leaders to work in our Milton Keynes City Centre store The Point. Based in an iconic building, this shop carries a vast range of pre-loved clothes, accessories, luggage and furniture, and a café selling drinks, snacks and cakes. 

 Working closely with the Cluster Team Leader, you will join a friendly team responsible for the day to day running of the shop, leading our committed volunteers and providing high quality customer service as you raise income to support the Hospice to deliver care to our community. As part of the wider team, you may also provide cover in our other city centre stores – The Hangout and Off the Record. 

The successful candidates will have good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills as well as previous retail experience. Awareness of basic food safety and hygiene for the café is advantageous, however, full training will be provided.

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease, caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for people’s wishes. We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy.  Our dedicated Business Development teams and retail portfolio of shops raise vital funds to deliver this care.
