Salary £29.00 per hour inclusive

We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our expanding Social Care team immediately, working until the end of March.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain experience of working in a Hospice environment and palliative care, with a particular focus on our In-Patient Unit. The role is based at Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a clinical environment assessing for care packages, with demonstrable knowledge of Safeguarding adults and children, the Care Act 2014 and MCA. Experience of working with relatives or people affected by life limiting conditions, and a good understanding of welfare benefits would be preferable.

Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within Milton Keynes. In addition to our 15 bed In-Patient unit and Community Nursing provision, we have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Complementary Therapy, Spiritual Care and a new Living Well Centre.
