Staff Nurse x2 – In Patient Unit

About the job

37.5 hours per week, internal rotation
£24,968 – £32,458 per annum plus 16% shift allowance

This is a rewarding opportunity for two Registered Nurses to work as part of our Willen Hospice IPU team, with responsibility for assessment of patient needs, planning, delivering and evaluating patient care.

With an attractive staff to patient ratio, this is an opportunity to make a real difference to individualised patient care.

Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the area. In addition to our 15 bed In-Patient unit and Community Nursing provision, we have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Complementary Therapy, Spiritual Care and a new Living Well Centre.

The successful candidate should possess excellent advanced communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a commitment to providing a high standard of care. Experience in palliative care or oncology would be advantageous.

As this post is rotational, we are looking for candidates who can offer flexibility in working night shifts and weekends.

In return you can expect generous annual leave entitlement starting at 35 days per annum with continuous NHS Service recognised (pro rata, inclusive of statutory and bank holidays), continued membership of the NHS pension scheme, enhanced maternity, adoption and sick pay provision (comparable to NHS entitlements), free car parking and excellent catering facilities at the Hospice.
