Team Leader – Gaming Shop

About the role

6 month contract 

Part Time – 9-30 hours per week, including evenings & weekends 

£11.25 per hour 

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Shop Team Leader with a passion for gaming to join us at the start of our brand new venture – ‘The Hangout’ in Milton Keynes Xscape complex.  

In our brand new shop in the City Centre, you will support the Cluster Team Leader and a committed team of volunteers to share your love of gaming and raise income for the Hospice. 

We are looking for passionate individuals with experience and knowledge of table top, arcade games and online gaming. Retail experience is desirable, but the ability to share your passion and build relationships with the community offering excellent customer service is essential.

About the shop: 

The Hangout will be based in Xscape and will offer a fun place to play and shop with table top games, arcade games, Dungeons & Dragons style offerings and online gaming.  Customers will be able to rent space to play games and you will share your breadth of knowledge of these games with the public and encourage them to stay and play.  There will be snacks and drinks available to purchase.

About the Hospice: 

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease, caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for people’s wishes. We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy.  Our dedicated Business Development teams and retail portfolio of shops raise vital funds to deliver this care.
