About the role
Part Time – 11 hours to 27.5 hours per week including weekends
£20,319 pro rata per annum, actual annual salary £7,314
As a part-time Warehouse Customer Assistant you will work as part of the Warehouse team, greeting supporters when they come to drop off donations, organising stock and assisting with deliveries.
You will offer excellent customer service and help to keep the Warehouse tidy, safe and organised.
The successful candidate will need to be physically fit due to the high volume of manual handling involved – you will be able to safely move and handle furniture, some of which will be heavy.
You will have good communication skills and confidence when talking to our supporters, as well as being a team player with a flexible approach. Previous experience of customer service or liaising with members of the public would be advantageous but training will be given.
In return for your skills, you can expect to join a motivated team of staff and volunteers, generous annual leave entitlement starting at 35 days pro rata (inclusive of statutory and bank holidays) and increases with length of service, pension scheme, free onsite parking and enhanced maternity, adoption and sick pay provision.
About the Warehouse
Our Kiln Farm Warehouse, based in Milton Keynes, is the hub of our retail operation. Taking in a huge variety of new and donated goods including furniture, clothing, bric a brac and books; these are then sorted and dispatched to our customers, our shops, or recycled – all to raise vital income for Willen Hospice to provide care to our patients and their families.
