Warehouse Team Leader – Kiln Farm

About the role:

Part time – 30 hours per week, including weekends

£23,870 pro rata per annum, £19,096 actual annual

Due to expansion within our Warehouse, we are looking for a highly motivated Team Leader to support our Stock Control team at our Kiln Farm Distribution Centre, Milton Keynes.

Leading a professional, highly motivated and target driven team in ensuring operational flow and efficient handling of goods for timely dispatch to retail shops.  You will be responsible for accuracy of stock holding and integrity, meaning shops have great availability for customers and stock loss is minimised. You will value and motivate our amazing volunteers and encourage them in the role they undertake.

The successful candidate will have good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills as well as previous distribution experience and knowledge of stock control management and warehouse processes.

About the Warehouse:

Our Kiln Farm Warehouse, based in Milton Keynes, is the hub of our retail operation. Taking in a huge variety of new and donated goods including furniture, clothing, bric-a-brac and books; these are then sorted and dispatched to our customers, our shops, or recycled – all to raise vital income for Willen Hospice to provide care to our patients and their families.

About the Hospice:

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area. We offer 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease, caring for people in our Inpatient Unit which accommodates 15 patients and the local community. Our person centred care is delivered with compassion and respect for people’s wishes. We have an expanding Therapeutic & Wellbeing service offering Psychological Wellbeing, Social Care, Physiotherapy, Occupational and Complementary Therapy.  Our dedicated Business Development teams and retail portfolio of shops raise vital funds to deliver this care.
