Cyclists to ‘zoom’ around Europe for Willen Hospice
Willen Hospice is inviting people from MK and beyond to get on their bikes and take part in their Cycle Europe Virtual Challenge - powered by energie Fitness MK. The aim of the challenge is to collectively clock up the equivalent kilometres it would take to cycle around Europe, in just three days.

Local man completes two marathons in wheelchair for Willen Hospice
The lockdown has inspired people from around the globe to take on a challenge to raise money for charities, which have been hit hard by the current coronavirus pandemic. One of those inspirational people is Grant Miller, from Bradwell Village, Milton Keynes, who has decided to take advantage of the once-a-day exercise to do complete Incremental Marathons, in his wheelchair to raise money for Willen Hospice.

Staff get ready for Blue Week
Nurses at Willen Hospice took a well-earned break to help launch the charity’s annual fundraiser, ‘Go Blue for Willen’, this week. The team got into the spirit of the theme by tucking into blue cakes and decorating the hospice with metres of knitted blue bunting created by patients in the Wellbeing Centre.

Willen Hospice is inviting local people to sign up for its popular Midnight Moo walk, taking place on Saturday 11 July. In a departure from previous years, organisers are hoping to appeal to more people than ever by opening the 10 mile walk and shorter Half Moo, to both men and women.
Local taxi drivers show support for Willen Hospice
Drivers from a local taxi firm are swapping four wheels for two feet next week as they join in the Men’s MK Midday Moo to support Willen Hospice. Skyline Taxis has signed up 26 of its male office staff and drivers to take part in the sponsored walk, which is being organised by the local charity.

Still time to take part in Willen Hospice’s Make a Will Month
Throughout May, ten local solicitor firms have been giving their time in offering to make a will for individuals for a donation to Willen Hospice. Requests can be made to the supporting solicitors for appointments to be made to create a new or change an existing will and there’s still time to take part.
Budapest or Bust raises over £3000
Christopher Edwards, local musician, has completed a yearlong challenge Budapest or Bust to raise funds to support the care provided by Willen Hospice. Chris cycled 1,200 miles in memory of his late mother, Mairi Elizabeth-Rose Edwards who was cared for by Willen Hospice.
Three lakes, three countries, five canoeists and just 24 hours....
Milton Keynes Canoe Club, based at Caldecotte Lake, has chosen Willen Hospice as their charity of the year. As part of their fundraising, some of the club members are completing a three lake challenge across three countries in one day.
