Ride for Willen

Friday 28 - Monday 31 August 2020

We have been continually monitoring the national safety guidance about events, and for safety reasons we have taken the decision to further redesign our popular annual Ride for Willen Cycle event.

This year we are offering 85 (137km), 65 (105km), or 40 (65km) mile routes that take you out into the countryside, North East of Milton Keynes via Bromham.

Cycle your route any time between Friday 28 – Monday 31 August, just be sure to link up to Strava so we know when you’ve completed it. You’ll find instructions on how to do this when you register.

We’ll send you the GPX files for all three routes, so you can cycle your chosen miles over the Bank Holiday weekend, and save the other routes for another time. You'll receive the download links in your confirmation email when you sign up.*

Everyone taking part will receive a medal in the post and we've set up a Facebook group so you can see who else is cycling, and share your photos.

Willen Hospice has a very special place in the hearts of people in the local area. At the toughest time of their lives, we do everything we can so people feel relief from pain and families can enjoy the precious moments they have left together. In the midst of the exhaustion, the pain and the grief, we are there. Our highly skilled professional team provide the best quality and heartfelt care for terminally ill people - and it’s all free to everyone who needs us.

To do all of this, we need to raise £4.7million every year, and COVID-19 has made fundraising incredibly difficult this year. We are kindly asking everyone taking part in our Sportive to raise a minimum of £50 to support our care.

You can find helpful fundraising resources here. Thank you.
