End of Life Education
Willen Hospice is an ideal venue for providing courses to professionals, carers and other stakeholders in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.
A range of study days and courses have been devised for professionals providing palliative and end of life care to clients. We are also open to tailoring a study day to suit the needs of your organisation, if you wish to discuss this contact Annette Hart.
Our Library has a variety of reference documents and books to support your studies and provide relevant information. The team of volunteers are always willing to assist you with any queries. Contact Sue and David via email: Library@willen-hospice.org.uk
We do have rooms available for hire, however, times are limited. If you would like further information on how to book a room and costings, please contact Annette Hart.
Willen Hospice regularly runs End of Life Training in response to Coronavirus. Education is open to staff working in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. There is no cost to attend this training. All sessions will run remotely, using Teams.

Meet our Team
Annette Hart – RN, BSc (Hons) Palliative Care, PTTLLS
Annette had worked in various locations as a Registered Nurse before joining the In-Patient Unit at Willen Hospice. Once she gained a BSc (Hons) in Palliative Care, she focused on sharing her knowledge and skills in a practical way by joining the Practice Development Team. Annette has led on many successful projects within the Hospice which has led to positive changes. Amongst her many interests are student placements, mentorship, and ACP.
Caroline Loxton - BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing
Caroline joined the Practice Development Department in 2018, after four years on the IPU as both a Staff Nurse and a Deputy Sister. Prior to Willen, Caroline had worked in another Hospice as well as a Stroke Unit, both in the West Midlands, caring for palliative patients. Caroline is currently undertaking her Post Graduate Certificate in Practice Education.
