Patient and Family Services

Willen Hospice offers three specialist support services

Patient and their carers - who may be a family or a friend
Bereavement support
Young People's Support

Each service offers a range of support - before a loved one dies or after their death. We offer emotional support, help with personal or family concerns as well as advice with practical issues or signposting to appropriate external agencies.

We work closely with other Hospice teams and with outside agencies such as social services, local health care professionals, schools and advisory services.

As part of the service, volunteers are recruited to provide extra support to the Hospice and the community. All volunteers are trained and DBS checked.

These services are for people who are known to the Hospice or under our care. We offer support years down the line, nomatter how long it may be since a loved one has died.
