Young People's Support
Our Young People's Support Service offers one to one support to children and young people from the ages of 5 to 18, who are linked to a patient known to the Hospice
We also offer advice to parents or professionals who are concerned about a child or young person and how they may be coping.
Children under 13
We offer one to one support to children who are facing, or have experienced bereavement. This can be provided at the Hospice, school or at home.
We help children to express themselves by creating memory boxes, through craft activities and to help their understanding with specialist books.
Children over 13
Teenagers can often feel isolated when they are grieving or bereaved. Our one-to-one support can help a young person to make sense of the life changes they are experiencing and enables them to develop coping strategies for the future.
