Lights of Love – 4 December (new date)

Join us for our annual Lights of Love celebration

We know that Christmas can be a difficult time of year when a loved one has died, whenever it may have been. This beautiful memorial event gives you a chance to take time out from the busy Christmas bustle, to remember the friends and family who are no longer with us and celebrate their lives.

The event will include heartfelt readings, choir singing and refreshments. We will also have our remembrance books virtually this year (more information below), and new for this year are our memorial Christmas lanterns, which you can decorate at home and bring with you to display at the event.

This event is free for anyone to attend, not just those who have had family and friends cared for at Willen Hospice.

Free admission – please register to attend

In-memory Christmas Decorations & Christmas lanterns

You can support Willen Hospice with a personalised decoration and Christmas lantern. The decoration will make a beautiful Christmas gift, or you can purchase your own one to hang at home in memory of your loved one. Our Christmas lanterns can be decorated at home and then added to a display at our Lights of Love event, or you can keep it at home.

When ordering, you can choose to collect your decoration(s)/lantern(s) from The Well, MK15 9AA, or have it posted out to you (for an additional cost to cover postage).  You can also purchase a lantern at our Lights of Love event, and place an order for a decoration (Please note that this will not be available to take home at the event as it will need to be engraved).

Please order by Friday 17 December to have in time for Christmas.

Our Book of Remembrance is a special dedication to those no longer with us. You can choose to add as many names as you like to the book, completely free of charge.

Due to COVID-19, we’ll be displaying our Book of Remembrance virtually this year. If you’d like to include your loved one’s name, please do this by 22 November. The book will be available to view online from 1 December, and shown on screen at the event.
