The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – 18 – 20 June 2021

12 hours. 24 miles. One amazing challenge to support Willen Hospice

Whether you’re a seasoned hiker, or you’re up for trying something completely different, our Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is the perfect opportunity to do something amazing while fundraising for Willen Hospice.

What is The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge?

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a circular walk which involves reaching the summit of three peaks in the Yorkshire Dales, in fewer than 12 hours:

  • Pen-y-ghent (694m)
  • Whernside (736m), the highest peak in the Dales
  • Ingleborough (724m)

The challenge route is  approximately 24 miles (38.4km) and includes a total ascent of approximately 1500m (5000ft). This is almost the equivalent of marathon distance but with lots of steep ascents and descents added in!

It sounds tough – and it is, so you’ll have to put your training in – but the stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales should help with the aches and pains.

We are constantly monitoring and following Government guidelines with regards to COVID-19 restrictions.
