Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteer in retail

Gain experience, meet people and learn new skills!

Volunteering with Willen Hospice can be very rewarding. It’s a great way to give something back to your local community if you have a few hours to spare.

Could you volunteer on a Sunday in Olney, or on a Saturday at any of our other shops? We are also looking for volunteers for our new shop at The Point. Let us know if you can help!

If you join us in retail, here are some of the roles you could be helping us in

  • Operating a till
  • Helping customers
  • Pricing items

Meet one of our volunteers

For some of the amazing people who give up their time for Willen, volunteering is completely new. Rosie began volunteering at our Grafton Gate Outlet Store in April last year and is really pleased she did. “I’ve never volunteered like this before, so this is my first experience and I thoroughly enjoy it.”

Not only does Rosie enjoy the sociable side and the opportunity to give back to her local community, volunteering also helps to improve her own happiness.  “I’m finding it very helpful for my own mental health and wellbeing so if anyone wants to do it I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s brilliant.”
