Without the support of volunteers, Willen Hospice simply couldn’t provide the care it does. Within our Community Fundraising team, there are so many opportunities to make a difference to our fundraising by giving some of your time.
Duties include a host of fundraising activities from running stalls to taking part in collections to helping at various community events. Time commitment will be on an ad-hoc basis in blocks of two to four hours at a time. This role can encompass a wide range of skills – from photographers to musicians to drivers and much, much more. This role involves helping to organise, distribute and collect fundraising resources, and assisting the Community Fundraising team in supporting community events. A role for existing Willen Hospice fundraisers, duties will include attending community events as representatives of the hospice, receiving cheques & donations at events, speaking for Willen Hospice at the events and thanking community supporters in person. Ambassadors will attend quarterly briefings with our Community Fundraising team.

We’re slowly starting to collect outside certain supermarkets again, following Covid-19 restrictions – with a contacless payment option. You may think a £1 here, or a 50p there, wouldn’t raise much money, but it all helps! Over Blue Week each year we raise several thousand pounds out in our community. However, we can’t do it with you.
