Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the area. In addition to our expanding Community Nursing provision, we have a 15 bed In-Patient unit, a Community Hub offering the Wellbeing Centre, Lymphoedema and Physiotherapy services, and a large Patient and Family Services team.
We are looking for a self-motivated and dynamic CNS to join our Willen at Home team, ensuring the highest standard of patient care to our community based patients, working effectively with other healthcare providers. The post holder will need to demonstrate an interest in service development.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience with at least 2 years working in cancer/palliative care and the passion to deliver quality care; a nurse prescriber would be desirable.
As the role is community based you should be confident working alone and must hold a driving licence and have access to a car.
In return for your skills, you can expect to join a caring team working beside a beautiful lakeside location, generous annual leave entitlement starting at 35 days pro rata (inclusive of statutory and bank holidays) and increases with length of service, free onsite parking, NHS pension scheme, enhanced maternity, adoption and sick pay provision and excellent catering facilities at the Hospice. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with our fundraising efforts too, and new ideas are always welcome.
