Circa £46,000 per annum pro rata

Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care within the area. In addition to our expanding Community Nursing provision, we have a 15 bed In-Patient unit, a Community Hub offering the Wellbeing Centre, Lymphoedema and Physiotherapy services, and a Patient and Family Services team.

To support the further development of our Therapeutic and Wellbeing service we have a new and exciting opportunity for a Psychological Wellbeing Lead to further develop and establish our psychological provision.  Working closely with the multi-disciplinary teams and the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), this role will be autonomous in the development and governances of all levels of psychological support and emotional support services for palliative patients, families and carers, and bereavement service.  Alongside developing and managing a new cancer care in the community service and the delivery of the psychological aspects of the service specification.

The successful candidate will be an experienced clinical/counselling/health Psychologist (with Doctorate) with extensive specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and a minimum of 5 years experience.

You will be self-motivated with excellent leadership and communication skills and be highly organised to lead and support the continued development of this evolving service.
